Christmas Decorations!
There is excitement about the posting and receiving of Christmas cards in school. Thanks to our P7 pupils who will be sorting and distributing thousands of cards to classes in the coming days. Thanks to everyone who has bought charity stamps in aid of the Cedar Foundation.

As part of ‘HPS are in it togther,’ Room 3 and Room 9 have been enjoying building and learning together. The children have loved spending time together and getting to know one another.
P7 have really enjoyed reading The Iron Man by Ted Hughes. To finish off our novel, they made some wonderful Iron Men out of recycable materials. Well done everyone!
The children have been working hard all week creating their own Space Ebook, using Book Creator, as part our Space Topic!
P4 R5 have been working hard on their time work and enjoyed taking their learning outside to create their own clocks.

A group of P7 pupils enjoyed meeting Summer the pony this week. Along with the residents at Newcroft Lodge, the children were able to brush and feed Summer while learning about all the special jobs she does at care homes and hospices.
P1 Room 3 and P7 Room 12 made their reading buddies a special thank you card. Everyone was very pleased with their fabulous card!
P3 and P4 classes had a great time learning why some items float and some sink. With the help of science, they were able to make a paper clip float and explore why a satsuma floats with its skin on but then sinks after it has been peeled.
They then had the opportunity to build a boat out of plasticine and were challenged to see how many marbles it could carry before it sank.
