P2 Room 3 went for a lovely walk to spot a variety of buildings!
As part of our topic ‘Houses and Homes’, P2 Room 3 went for an investigative walk to explore what variety of buildings lie just outside our school. We enjoyed ticking off the various buildings we spotted and were fortunate enough to even see some fabulous bricklayers at work! :)
P2 Room 3 posted letters to our families!
P2 have been very busy writing letters to family members. We walked into Holywood and posted our letters. Let’s hope we get replies soon!

Our first week back at school has been fabulous! We can’t stop smiling as we are so happy to be back together. We have been having so much fun while learning and working hard. It has been amazing! Yay! Have a look at some of the photos of our first week! :)
P1/P2 Room 3 Spring Walk!
We went for a lovely walk around our school looking for signs of Spring! We saw daffodils, snowdrops, crocuses, buds on the trees and maybe even a nest. It was a bit drizzly and wet, but we still had lots of fun and were so excited to hear the birds chirping in the trees!

Virtual Visitors to P2 Room 17
Thank you to the parents, relatives and friends of P2 Room 17 who very kindly made some videos explaining their jobs and roles within a hospital. As we were unable to welcome any visitors into school this term, these videos were so helpful in bringing our topic to life. We are extremely grateful for the wonderful job the NHS do. P2 have really enjoyed their hospital topic this term.

Our Town Topic
P2 have enjoyed learning about Holywood . We wet up our own Tourist Information centre and made leaflets about Northern Ireland. We enjoyed making Johnny the Jig Statues, like the Sculptor Rosamund Prager who was born in Holywood. Eva’s Papa kindly visited our class to tell us what Holywood was like in the past and showed us some photographs of how Holywood has changed over time.

We are learning about recycling and what we can recycle in different bins.
P2 Explore Holywood
As part of our new topic, ‘Our Town’ we visited Holywood and recorded some of the shops, building and offices we saw on our walk. We went to Tesco Express to buy some items and we used the self-service tills.
