P2 have enjoyed planting sunflower seeds and cress seeds. They watched the cress grow and then made cress sandwiches. They also created some scary grass head monsters. Here are pictures of a few of the activities they took part in during Play Based Learning.

Houses and Homes Topic
Visitors in P2
This week we welcomed Oscar's Dad to Room 18 and Charlotte's Dad to Room 17. They both work as Estate Agents and told us about their jobs. They were able to answer lots of our questions about buying and selling houses and showed us how they use Maths and ICT in their jobs. They brought some great props with them too! it was a really interesting ending to our Building and Homes Topic.

An Architect visits P2
As part of our Houses and Homes topic, Peter from Craftstudio Architecture came to talk to the P2 children. He explained how he designs houses by drawing plans and using the computer. He brought some plans and models of houses for the children to look at. He answered lots of questions about designing and building houses. At play time we are going to draw our own plans and make model houses too.

We made top hat buns with the ingredients we bought on our walk to Tesco. We used 1p and 2p coins to buy our buns. They were delicious!

P2 Visit Holywood
P2 are learning about our town, Holywood. We walked to Holywood and looked at the houses, offices and shops. We visited to Tesco Express and did some shopping.
W5 Science H2OH! Shows
W5 exhibitors hosted science shows this week for P1-P4 children. There were some great experments and lots of laughs!
