Mal from Royal Mail came to visit P2 this week. He talked to the children about his job as a postman and answered their questions about what happens to the post. He brought his friend Postman Pat too. The children were so excited to get their photograph taken with Pat!
As part of the P2 Post Office topic we wrote letters to our relatives inviting them to our Nativity play. We enjoyed walking to the post box to post them.

P2 enjoyed making and eating fruit skewers as part of their 'Hospital' topic.
Bike it fun on our bikes and scooters. We talked about bike safety and the importance of always wearing our helmets. We had to use our starting positions to pedal up the hills and use our brakes when coming down. We followed a circuit around the playground. It was great exercise!
The Primary 2 children had a brilliant day at the Folk Museum. There were lots of people dressed up, who told us about how life was in Victorian times. The children got to explore the old houses and schools in the town and countryside. We looked at how people lived with no electricity or bathrooms, how they cooked and washed their clothes. It was a great day!
P2 have started their new topic, Houses and Homes. They have been taking on the role of architects and builders at play time.
P7 and P2 children enjoying reading and looking at books together with their reading buddies!
P2 Room 18 went for a walk into Holywood. They went to see the Maypole, Johnny the Jig and the Priory. They also went to Tesco with their shopping list to buy ingredients for top hats.
