Our P6 and 7 Eco committee representatives went to Kerr Park today to a Community Orchard Planting event run by Ards and North Down Council. They planted plum, pear and apple trees. It was a great opportunity to work together with other local schools. Planting trees not only encourages greater biodiversity in our local green spaces but also creates a carbon basin to tackle global warming. We look forward to enjoying this community space when the trees grow.
